Ashley's Dress

I had the great honor of making this young lady's Prom dress. This time around I made her wedding gown and her Grandmother and Mom's dress. These are priceless opportunities when making a custom design dress. Some of the special touches during fittings, video chatting with Mom and Grandmom during her fitting. Hand embroidering the names of her Usilla (Great Grandmother), Lois (Grandmother). Dawm (Mother), onto the left side of the gown train, which is the side with the heart. Also the embroidery is embellished with real pearls. I look forward to photos and will share them as soon as I receive them.

The fabric of the dress is a silk satin from C & J textiles, 230 W 38th Street 7th Floor (http://cjtextile.com/), the lining that you see in the video is a stretch silk charmuese from Preview Fabrics, 225 West 37th Street 11th Floor (http://www.previewtextile.com/faq.asp)
