A Coat Story

Years ago Mrs Smith asked me to make her a coat. I think I was a student at FIT, but was a pretty advanced with my sewing skills....however I was really scared going into making a coat. I didn’t want to disappoint, mess up, ruin my friendship with her daughter.

The original coat was a wrap coat made from a Cashmere or Wool or a Cashmere/Wool

blend. It was really expensive! She was really happy with the coat and I am always grateful that she had that confidence and trust in me making such and important piece

of clothing.
