I was so honored to be interviewed by Anu Prestonia about my design process. I've known Anu for several years and have made a few garments for her, including her Wedding Dress and 40th celebration honors.

Some customers come as soon as the doors open.....at 12pm. The clothing is one of a kind and some cannot be ordered, which is why they come early to try on and enjoy the great company.
I believe this was Easter Sunday after church and it looks like they were in a car passing 5th Ave and 53rd Street. This Easter (2019) I went back to the very corner to take a photo.
I have been going through old negatives and what I believe it was Easter Sunday April 1, 1956. The family church was Bethany Baptist Church located in Bedford Stuyvesant.

Rev. Milton A. Galamison and ladies. This minister was a prominent in the Civil Rights movement. Leading the NYC students in a boycott in 1964.
