Once Upon a time, we thought we ruled the world. We were talented, had ideas, and little to NO money....but that didn't stop us. In 1996 4 designers got together and we decided to put on a fashion show a Brooklyn, Bedford Stuyvesant backyard... We invited everyone, via word of mouth and postcards. Our friends and family came and supported us......

When I was in elementary school I had already been to many of the NYC museums, before many of the class trips. My Mother who was a NYC school teacher, made sure I was fully immersed in the arts. She filled my world with art by taking me to all the NYC Museums.....which brings me to one of our last museum visits together. This must have been in the late 90's (don't remember the exact year) but she had a Whitney membership and we were able to go to the early opening....My mother had a great respect for art, even though Andy Warhol did not seem like her speed, it didn't matter, it was art and it was interesting. Every year I am sooooo excited to go down 5th Ave and enjoy all the creativity.....It's the Easter Parade....The New York Way!

I love photography and stumbled Ted Forbes, when I was looking for more info on Vivian Maier. Although his critique of Ms Maier was a bit prickly and I disagreed with some of it, I subscribed and have been hooked, (Videos 1, 2 , and 3 ). His videos are jam packed with inspiration and include new gear, technique, and a favorite of viewers.....photo assignments. Viewers participate in a bi-weekly photo assignment by posting them through Social Networks, which helps you push yourself a bit farther......creatively. He then creates a video using the submissions......but OH BOY when your photos makes the cut.....it's quite a compliment. This past assignment, which was photo sequences and I made the cut!
