A little history about Juneteenth
Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, a Union General rode into Galveston, Texas to announce that the Civil War had ended, and slaves had been freed.
This skirt was made from muslin scraps. I had this vision that I would have these Graffiti words of inspiration all over the skirt, but it really didn't work out.....got to figure that idea out for another day. For now I decided to hand paint flowers all over it. I will show you the finished circle skirt in an upcoming video.

Here at Lindsay Park we are all family and with the recent attacks on the Asian community, we feel attacked as well. We had a walk in our community, just to bring about awareness and let people know WE ARE FAMILY.
