Boy oh boy it doesn't get any more sappy....BUT like Hallmark, LMN, and Lifetime....everybody in the town has a beautiful kitchen! This series in a fictitious town in California (I think) at times looks like a travel log, with the sunset/sunrise mountains/rivers/forests....then it's the people, the cornball people...Oh they make an effort with the drama....a meth lab, murder, postpartum depression, breast cancer....it's not all sunshine and rainbows...but they always seem to end on a happy note and the town comes together at Jacks Bar for lunch, dinner and gossip, sewing with gossip and romance with a bar fight to make it legit! It not deep, this won't win awards or discussed like Adolescence but you can have a little guilty...
I stumbled onto this video Queues Formed Fast....sold out in 45 min! Well that got my attention. I then watched another and another.....so enamored with his hard work, I wanted to buy a couple of croissants and he give them to anyone...I wanted to pay it forward....YES I CAN DO THAT HERE!!! However I did figure a way to support....I purchased his eBook, The E-Book for Micro Bakers I'm looking forward to trying the brownies, that looks like the easiest to start with. One of the memories of my Mother was her baking bread...seeing that dough rise and her punching it down. I once asked her to make me some pizza dough, which she did happily. Even if you can't...
Just watched this documentary about Gordon Parks....A must see! I often share this stuff on Facebook, but it seems like my posts are buried....never to be seen. This is such an important documentary about Gordon Parks, who challenged racism and confronted America with the truth.
I learned so much more about the famous photo American Gothic and who the woman was in the photo....and he dug deeper into who Ella Watson was. Gordon Parks and Ella Watson
The documentary is available on HBO/MAX
